FAQ
Do PS5 charging docks charge when the console is off?
Only if the PS5 keeps its USB ports powered in Rest Mode, and not when it’s fully off. Docks with their own wall adaptor, like the PowerA Twin (#1), avoid the issue.
Why do Xbox docks come with batteries?
Standard Xbox controllers run on AA batteries, so docks include rechargeable packs that clip in instead.
