6. LEGO Harry Potter 2025
Best for: Harry Potter fans aged 7+, since there's no 2026 set
A LEGO advent calendar beats chocolate every time: 24 little builds, a handful of minifigures, and something to actually play with on Boxing Day. LEGO’s 2026 range is small, just five sets, so picking one really comes down to two things: how old they are and what they’re into. I’ve lined them all up below with ages, piece counts and what’s inside. There’s also a 2025 Harry Potter one, since there’s no Harry Potter calendar this year. (Here’s how we choose products.)
- Best for younger kids (5+): LEGO City 2026 (#1)
- Most pieces and minifigures: LEGO Marvel 2026 (#2)
- Best for play after Christmas: LEGO Disney Princess 2026 (#3)
- Best for animal lovers: LEGO Friends 2026 (#4)
- Best for Mandalorian fans: LEGO Star Wars 2026 (#5)
- Best for Harry Potter fans: LEGO Harry Potter 2025 (#6)

1. LEGO City Advent Calendar 2026 (60510)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Younger builders, and anyone who wants a classic Santa’s-workshop Christmas rather than a film tie-in.
Verdict: This is the most Christmassy calendar in the range, and our pick for younger kids. Behind the doors are Santa, Mrs Claus, three elves, a snowman and a baby reindeer, plus seasonal mini builds and accessories. The best bit is the box itself, which folds out into a Santa’s workshop playmat, so everything has somewhere to live once it’s built. At 5+, it’s one of the two calendars aimed at the youngest kids.
What we like
- Ages 5+, so it suits younger builders
- Box folds out into a Santa’s workshop playmat
- Santa, Mrs Claus, three elves, a snowman and a baby reindeer
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Worth knowing
- Fewer pieces than Marvel or Star Wars (252)
- No film or game characters, if that’s what they’re into

2. LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 2026 (76340)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Marvel fans aged 6 and up, and anyone who wants the biggest calendar in the 2026 range.
Verdict: If you just want the most LEGO, this is it. At 317 pieces it’s the largest 2026 calendar, and it has six Marvel minifigures with festive accessories, the most of any set here. The daily builds are fun too: a Helicarrier, an X-Jet sleigh, a Dr Doom helicopter, a snowball cannon and a Christmas tree made from green Wolverine claws. It’s a great pick for a superhero fan.
What we like
- 317 pieces – the most of the 2026 range
- 6 Marvel minifigures, the most of any 2026 set
- Fun builds like the Helicarrier and X-Jet sleigh

3. LEGO Disney Princess Advent Calendar 2026 (43298)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Disney Princess fans aged 5 and up, and families who like a calendar that turns into something to play together.
Verdict: This one keeps going after Christmas, which is why we rate it so highly. You get Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan as LEGO Disney micro-dolls, plus Gus, Mushu, Pua and Sebastian. Once the doors are all open, the box turns into a game board where the characters race to collect holiday treasures. With 290 pieces, it’s the most generous of the two 5+ calendars.
What we like
- Box turns into a board game when advent is over
- Four princesses and four animal sidekicks
- 290 pieces, more than the City set, also aimed at 5+
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Worth knowing
- Micro-dolls are smaller than standard minifigures
- Mostly for Disney fans

4. LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2026 (42698)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Friends fans and animal-mad kids aged 6 and up.
Verdict: The cutest calendar in the range. It comes with three mini-dolls, Nova, Liann and Aliya, and six mini animals: a seal, a pony, a weasel, a polar bear, a penguin and a bunny. Each day adds to a winter wonderland scene. It has the fewest pieces of the 2026 sets, but if they love animals, the six critters make up for it.
What we like
- Six mini animals, including a polar bear and a penguin
- Three Friends mini-dolls
- Builds up into one winter scene
- Sold by Amazon when we checked
Worth knowing
- Fewest pieces of the 2026 range (211)
- Ages 6+, unlike the 5+ City and Disney sets

5. LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026 (75456)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Mandalorian fans, kids or grown-ups, who want mini starships to line up on a shelf.
Verdict: The one grown-up fans want just as much as kids do. There’s the Mandalorian, Moff Gideon and Grogu in Christmas jumpers, plus Carson Teva and a Jawa, Pit Droid and IG-11 figures, and seven mini vehicles including the Razor Crest, an X-wing and the N-1 Starfighter. It also has Mudhorn, Bantha, Dewback and Blurrg figures. It’s also on our advent calendars for men list, because it works just as well as a gift for an adult fan.

- 7 mini vehicles, including the Razor Crest and an X-wing
- 293 pieces
- Sold by Amazon when we checked

6. LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2025 (76456)
by LEGO
Price & availability on Amazon.co.uk
Who it’s for: Harry Potter fans, because LEGO hasn’t released a Harry Potter calendar for 2026.
Verdict: There’s no Harry Potter calendar in LEGO’s 2026 range, so last year’s is the one to get, and it’s a good one. It has eight minifigures in Hogwarts Christmas jumpers (Harry, Cho Chang, Draco, Hannah Abbott, Angelina Johnson, Luna, Blaise Zabini and Cedric Diggory), plus Hedwig, Buckbeak, Aragog, a Thestral, a Mandrake and a Stag Patronus. The ten mini builds include the Sorting Hat and a chocolate frog. It’s the 2025 edition, sold by a third-party seller rather than Amazon, so check the price before you buy.
What we like
- 8 minifigures – the most of any calendar on this page
- Six magical creature figures, including Buckbeak and a Thestral
- The only LEGO Harry Potter calendar you can still get
Worth knowing
- 2025 edition, not 2026
- Sold by a third-party seller, so the price can be above LEGO’s original price

FAQ
How many LEGO advent calendars are there in 2026?
Five: City (60510), Friends (42698), Disney Princess (43298), Marvel (76340) and Star Wars (75456). There’s no Harry Potter calendar in 2026, which is why we’ve included the 2025 one (#6).
Which LEGO advent calendar has the most pieces in 2026?
The Marvel calendar, with 317 pieces and six minifigures. Star Wars has 293 and Disney Princess 290.
Which LEGO advent calendar is best for a 5-year-old?
City (#1) or Disney Princess (#3). They’re the only 2026 calendars LEGO rates as 5+. The rest are 6+, and the 2025 Harry Potter set is 7+.
Are LEGO advent calendars good for adults?
Yes, especially the Star Wars and Marvel ones. They’re rated 6+, but plenty of grown-up fans buy them for the minifigures and mini vehicles. We also include Star Wars on our advent calendars for men list.
When do LEGO advent calendars sell out?
There’s no fixed date, but the popular ones often go before December. Older editions are usually only left with third-party sellers, often at a higher price, so if you want a 2026 set, it’s worth buying early.
